The Bedales Chair, originally known as the ‘Mission’ chair , was designed by Ernest Gimson in 1906. It was later renamed after Bedales School when Edward Gardiner was commissioned to make the chairs for Gimson designed Bedales Memorial Library. We continue to supply this design to Bedales School today.
The chair features a uniform three slat design, and the side and arm chairs match in height.
