Finalists - HCA Trainee of the Year Award 2020

The Marchmont Workshop are delighted to announce that our chairmakers, Sam Cooper and Richard Platt, have been named as finalists for the HCA Trainee of the Year Award for 2020, in association with the Marsh Christian Trust. This is a wonderful piece of news and we are truly humbled by the nomination - we owe a huge thank you to Lawrence, Hugo and the HCA for making it happen.

While it’s very gratifying to be recognised for the hard work we put in, what the HCA are doing in shining a spotlight on endangered, and traditional craft is worth every ounce of energy that has been put into it. We would like to personally thank Robin Wood, Patricia Lovett, and Daniel Carpenter for all the hard work they have done to elevate the Rush Seated Chair to a point where it will continue for generations.
